We thought you should know that just like wine, a fine beer can be perfectly paired with food.
Here is my summer pairing just for you:
A nice fresh beef Thai salad with Lowlander’s Premium IPA.
This is truly my favorite beer: Lowlander Beer.
In the 17th century, when ships full of herbs, spices and sugar were shipped to Amsterdam, large-scale liqueurs and gin began to be burned. It is at this time, the brewing history of the Dutch originated: brewing with herbs and spices.
That is just what Frederik set out to do. Taking his skills of brewing, distilling and botanicals and creating botanically blend beers.
I have been drinking this beer since its obscure origins; unlabelled, and haven’t stopped loving it since. Each one is a unique blend and flavour and yet all are perfect.
Meet the Beers
An Indonesian Pale Ale, brewed with ketoembar (coriander seed) and Asian moonlight white tea, which makes the beer hoppy and bitter with a refreshing hint of spices.
This White Ale is refreshing and thirst-quenching with a slightly floral and fruity aftertaste. It’s more than just a typical white beer. The chamomile, elderflower and Curaçao orange give it its pronounced taste.
This dark beer gets its full and deep character from the combination of liquorice and vanilla, with a nice sweetness to it.
Loving it? See all their beers here.
What’s up with those gorgeous labels?
Not only is this a beer of great craftmanship, it also is exquisitely labeled. These beautifully designed logos come from the mind of the people at Drinksology and the research of Dutch history by Frederik & his team.

Summer Food & Beer
Like I said, these beers are perfect to go with food.
Below I created a simple Thai beef salad full of flavour, which is perfect as a summer meal and to pair with a good drink.
Prepping time 20-30 min
Feeds 2 persons
•300-350 grams of thin slightly grilled beef steak.
•3 cups Romaine lettuce
•1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
•half cucumber, thinly sliced
•1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
•1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
•1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
The salad dressing:
•1 1/2 tablespoon lime juice
•1 tablespoon soy sauce
•1 tablespoon sun flower oil
•1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 red chopped chili you can always add more
•2 teaspoons fish sauce
•1 1/2 medium clove garlic, minced
•3/4 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1. Combine beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro, mint, and basil in a large mixing bowl.
2. Mix all salad dressing ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the beef salad. Toss until the dressing is well distributed through the entire salad.
Tip: If you really hungry prep some rice noodles to add in the mix.
Divide and serve with a nice cold Lowlander IPA.
